·       2 pinches of red pepper flakes

·       1 teaspoon of steak seasoning, your choice

·       1 tablespoon soy sauce

·       10 leaves of romaine lettuce (cut these into bite sized pieces)

·       ½ of a cucumber, cut into cubes

·       1 peeled, pitted, and diced avocado

·       ½ of a lemon, juiced

·       2 tablespoons of rice vinegar

·       2 tablespoons of olive oil

·       1 tomato that is cut into wedges

·       1 grated carrot

·       2 tablespoons of white sugar

·       4 slices of red onion

·       3 tablespoons of sesame seeds, toasted

·       ½ teaspoon sesame oil

·       ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Preparation

While there are a lot of ingredients, the prep time is about 30 minutes and the cook time is 15 minutes. First, take the rib eye steak and season it on both sides with the steak seasoning and the soy sauce. Cover the steak and place it in the refrigerator for at least one hour, but preferably overnight.

On an outdoor grill, turn the grill on to medium-high heat and oil the grill. Take the steak and place it on the preheated grill. Cook it until it is firm and reddish pink. It should still be juicy in the center. This should take about six minutes on each side.

If you have access to an instant read thermometer, the interior temperature should be 130°. Once done, place it on a plate, add the lemon juice, cover it loosely with aluminum foil, and allow the meat to sit for 10 minutes. After that, cut it into strips.

Take the rice vinegar, olive oil, sugar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and garlic powder and mix them all together using a whisk in a small bowl. Add the lettuce, cucumber, avocado, red onion, steak strips, carrot, and tomato to the bowl. Add rice vinegar dressing over the salad and toss.

You can sprinkle sesame seeds to add a little flavor. Serve and enjoy with a family member, friend, or home care services.
