While home care can be used to describe both medical and non-medical care, Independence Home Care provides non-medical care, which includes companionship, homemaking services and assistance with personal care as well as any activities of everyday daily living.

Each client of Independence Home Care will have an individualized and confidential plan of care developed by a Registered Nurse, which is updated and reviewed on an as needed and continual basis. We emphasize the importance of communication between our caregivers, our clients, family members and case managers to ensure that the plan of care meets the clients needs and requests at all times.

During the initial conversation and the in-home visit, our staff will document the services required and the client's preferences for a caregiver. We then select the best caregiver(s) fit for the client and will arrange an introductory meeting between the client and the selected caregiver(s). During that meeting, all of the involved parties review the plan of care to ensure that everyone agrees and understands what services are to be provided in addition to make sure all parties agree on the caregiver presented. We strive to provide continuity of care in keeping the same caregiver assigned to the client. If your caregiver is unavailable for any reason, another caregiver will be presented to the client.
